Atlas van de leegte
Kan je een stad eigenzinnig (her)ontdekken door ze simpelweg anders te bekijken? Jawel! Door bijvoorbeeld vanuit de psychogeografie van de leegte naar een stad te kijken, zo ervaar je een uitzonderlijke beleving waarvan je de regie niet zelf in handen hebt. Zo ben ik Hasselt gaan bekijken: ik heb deze leegtes geïnventariseerd, grafisch en inhoudelijk verwerkt. Deze ervaringen resulteren in een atlas die laat 'denken in beelden’ en die ook van toepassing is op andere steden: mijn atlas als eigenzinnige leidraad voor mensen die een stad anders willen gewaarworden.
Atlas of emptiness
Is it possible to (re)discover a city in a quirky way by just watching it differently? Yes! By watching that city from the psycho-geography of the void: by doing so, you will get an exceptional experience that goes beyond your control. This is the way I looked at Hasselt: I have listed these voids, processed them graphically and by content. The outcome of this work is an atlas that allows you to think imaginarily - think in pictures. It’s also applicable to other cities: my atlas as a quirky guide for people who want to look to a city in new way.
